Designed by and built for iconic fashion designer Giorgio Armani, MARIU is the height of fashion. Textures and tones found onboard include leather, richly grained woods and aluminium ceilings that have a soft reflective sheen, beautifully contrasting the rustic wide teak floorboards and bleached oak panelling.
With open-plan saloons and minimalist staterooms, MARIU has six well-appointed double cabins. The yacht is ideally set up for families and friends charters. An elevator connects all four decks, including a very large sun deck that can be flexibly shaded for sunbathing or an afternoon nap. The Jacuzzi that is found forward on the sun deck is the ideal place to enjoy sundowners. The main deck office has recently been replaced with a 200-bottle wine cellar allowing guests to enjoy a large variety of refined wines.

Kyriakos Vgenopoulos

Kyriakos was born and raised in Elefsis (the outskirts of Athens). In 1995, he entered the Merchant Marine Academy where he followed a model of sandwich courses (12 month sea service on Merchant vessels) up to his graduation in 1999 as 2nd Officer. Since then he realised his unconditional love for the sea and developed his skills as Deck Officer on Merchant Vessels (Cargo/Tankers) travelling worldwide. He then decided to join the yachting industry in 2004 when he joined his first charter yacht as second and then first mate, navigating in the Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic and Indian Ocean. In 2007, he obtained his Master 3000 and has since been at the helm of various yachts including his last Captain’s position onboard M/Y MABROUK and M/Y ROSPIA. During those years, he deepened his knowledge of the industry as well as strengthening his managerial skills allowing him to better look after his crew.
Kyriakos speaks fluent English and he has a vast knowledge and experience of the Mediterranean Sea. Very sociable, he enjoys looking after his guests and sharing his knowledge with them. In his free time, he likes watching and playing basketball, sailing, practicing aikido, cycling and reading books. Kyriakos is a family man, married with an 8 year old daughter.
